Your files never leave your browser. We don't store them, see them, or upload them.

How it works

Three steps. No accounts, no credentials, no waiting on an API.

Step 1

Request your LinkedIn data

Go to Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Get a copy of your data, then pick the connections-only option for the fastest export.

Step 2

Upload an older + newer export

Drop your previous Connections.csv (or full LinkedIn ZIP) and your most recent one. Both files stay on your device.

Step 3

See who disconnected

We diff the two lists and surface every connection that vanished — with their name, role, and profile link.

How to download your LinkedIn connections

LinkedIn lets you grab a copy of your own data for free — connections-only is fastest.

  1. 1Open LinkedIn and click the Me dropdown → Settings & Privacy
  2. 2Go to Data Privacy → Get a copy of your data
  3. 3Pick "Want something in particular?" and tick Connections — fastest, ~10 minutes
  4. 4(Or pick the full archive — slower, but contains the same Connections.csv)
  5. 5LinkedIn emails you a download link when the export is ready
  6. 6Save that file and keep doing this every few weeks — you'll need at least two exports to compare

Why we never ask for your password

Most LinkedIn "connection tracker" tools ask you to log in or install a Chrome extension that scrapes your profile. Both approaches put your account at risk — LinkedIn actively restricts accounts caught using third-party automation. We don't need any of that. We work directly off the data export LinkedIn already gives you for free.

No password sharing

You never type your LinkedIn password into our tool. There's nothing for us to lose, leak, or misuse.

Runs in your browser

Your CSV is read by JavaScript on your device. The file never leaves your computer — we have no servers to upload to.

API-proof

No automation, no scraping, no API calls. When LinkedIn changes its rules, this tool keeps working.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't LinkedIn show me who disconnected?

LinkedIn intentionally doesn't surface a list of people who removed you as a connection. The follower count quietly drops, but you have to compare your connection list at two points in time to see specifically who left — that's exactly what this tool does.

Is this LinkedIn lost connections checker free?

Yes. No signup, no login, no payment. You can compare exports as many times as you like, and your files never leave your browser.

Do I need to give my LinkedIn password?

No. We never ask for your password and we don't connect to LinkedIn's API. You only upload the official Connections.csv that LinkedIn already provides — and that file is processed entirely inside your browser.

Will my LinkedIn account get restricted?

No. We don't scrape, automate, or call LinkedIn's API. There's nothing for LinkedIn to detect. Your account is completely safe.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Your CSV is read by JavaScript running on your device. The file is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us.

What format does LinkedIn give me?

LinkedIn lets you download just your connections (a Connections.csv file, ready in around 10 minutes) or your full data archive (a much larger ZIP that includes the same Connections.csv). This tool accepts both — just upload the .csv or the .zip directly.

What if I only have one export?

You need two exports taken at different times — that's how the diff works. Save today's export, then come back in a few weeks with a fresh one. To track changes automatically over time, FollowerCleanup compares snapshots for you.

Why does the tool only show 50 results?

The free tool surfaces the 50 most recent disconnections. To see every disconnection — and to track changes automatically over time — create a free FollowerCleanup account.

Does this work for company page followers too?

Not yet. This tool is for personal LinkedIn connections. The export LinkedIn provides for individual accounts is what makes the diff possible — company-page follower data isn't included in the same way.

Want to track disconnections automatically?

FollowerCleanup compares snapshots so you can see exactly who disconnected between two uploads — across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter / X. No password required, ever.
