Free Twitter Unfollowers Checker

See who doesn't follow you back on Twitter/X. No login, no password, no signup — your data never leaves your browser.

100% private No password ToS-compliant

Drop your Twitter/X export ZIP here, or click to browse

Max 500 MB · processed in your browser

Your file never leaves your browser. We don't store it, see it, or upload it.

How it works

Three steps. No accounts, no credentials, no waiting.

Step 1

Request your X data archive

Open X settings → Your account → Download an archive of your data. X emails you a .zip when it's ready.

Step 2

Upload the .zip file here

Drop the export onto this page. Nothing leaves your browser — analysis runs entirely on your device.

Step 3

See who doesn't follow you back

We compare your followers against your following list and surface every account that isn't following back.

How to download your X (Twitter) data archive

The archive contains your follower and following lists. It's free and lives inside X itself.

  1. 1Open X (twitter.com or x.com) on the web
  2. 2Go to Settings and privacy → Your account → Download an archive of your data
  3. 3Confirm your password and request the archive
  4. 4Wait for X's email — usually 24 hours, sometimes a few days
  5. 5Download the .zip file from the link in the email

Why we never ask for your password

Most "Twitter unfollowers" tools die every time X changes its API. Worse, the survivors ask you to log in with your X account — handing over the keys to your account. We don't need any of that. We work directly off the data archive X already gives you for free.

No password sharing

You never type your X password into our tool. There's nothing for us to lose, leak, or misuse.

Runs in your browser

Your archive is read by JavaScript on your device. The file never leaves your computer — we have no servers to upload to.

API-proof

No automation, no scraping, no API calls. When X changes its API, this tool keeps working.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Twitter/X unfollowers checker free?

Yes. The tool is completely free, with no signup, no login, and no payment required. You can run it as many times as you like.

Do I need to give my X (Twitter) password?

No. We never ask for your X password, OAuth, or any account access. You only upload the official data archive that X provides — and that file is processed entirely inside your browser.

Is it safe? Will my X account get suspended?

It is safe. We don't access X's API, don't scrape, and don't perform any actions on your account. X has no way of knowing you used this tool — your account is not at risk.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Your X archive is read directly by JavaScript running in your browser. The file is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us.

Why do results show user IDs instead of @handles?

X's data archive only includes numeric account IDs in the follower and following lists — not @handles. Each result links to twitter.com/intent/user?user_id=…, which X redirects to the live profile so you can see the @handle there.

Why does the tool only show 50 results?

The free tool shows the first 50 accounts that don't follow you back. To see the complete list — and to track who unfollows you over time — create a free FollowerCleanup account.

How long does it take to get the X data archive?

X usually emails the archive within 24 hours, but it can sometimes take a few days for very active accounts. The link in the email is valid for a limited window, so download it as soon as you get it.

What's the difference between this and the paid app?

This free tool gives you a one-time look at who doesn't follow you back, capped at 50 results. The full FollowerCleanup app shows every result and — more importantly — tracks changes over time, so you can see exactly who unfollowed you between two snapshots.

Want to track unfollowers over time?

FollowerCleanup compares snapshots so you can see exactly who unfollowed you between two uploads — across Instagram, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn. No password required, ever.
